I've been checking out this site for about two months now, and finally decided to join it. I have a question, If I'm going to Russia or the Ukraine how can I find a translator. I would hate to get lost or something. I've looked, and all of the sites I have found were if you join this site, and picked from the ladies they have. Thanks for all the help in advance.
See Ya,
Mark

Hi Mark,
feel yourself at home here.
If you decide to go to Russia or Ukraine to a special lady, she might know the language, so you won't get lost. If you're just travelling around - check for translation services or tour agencies that provide interpreters or guides to visitors.

Mark,
Be VERY careful if you arrange for a translator via an agency. Yes, there are many genuine agencies out there but there are a hell of a lot of dodgy ones. I've read dreadful stories about 'henchmen' meeting a guy, with his lady, at the airport and forcing his money from him in as shorter time as possible.
I've always travelled as an independent traveller, never via an agency. Write to ladies, select a shortlist, one or more dependant on you, hopefully she'll speak at least basic English. Go to www.amazon.com and buy yourself the Oxford Russian Dictionary for less than $3, take it with you, any words each of you may not understand can be selected from the dictionary, a handy translator for less than $3 !
i really would'nt worry about getting a translator, but go to www.waytorussia.com, its a info site about russia. (its got a real 'comical' section about russian women), if theres nothing obvious email them, they were real helpful to me.
or try www.lonelyplanet.com
in the part called 'thorn tree'..........go to the eastern euope/russia/caucaus page, either serach for your answer, or post it on the forum.....i guarantee you'll get cool answers real quick
