After having told formerly about hitting scammers by writing to freepersonals.ru / freedating.ru girls, I had a new try this week and again a hit.

From Olga

777,
Was this her first letter?

If so, we all (well 99%) have a pre-written first letter and I myself have a semi pre-written second letter.

OK you raise some points about her location etc. but having a pre-written letter doesn't make her a scammer.

Perhaps her relationship has gone bad in USA and she has decided to start looking again and before returning to Perm. If I were her I may introduce myself as being from Perm, perhaps she has already returned there thus her profile on the other site is out of date, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps!

OK, there are warning signs such as her talking about sex but a scammer is one who starts asking for money. I can't see she has done that so perhaps you should hold off before branding her a scammer.

Sean,
Agreed about money, normally they wait a couple of weeks, a month or longer.
That's why I've said, and from the letter posted above, that this lady should not be regarded as a scammer for sending a canned letter and perhaps being economical with the truth regarding her whereabouts.
Wait for her to ask for money before posting what is perhaps an innocent individual as a scammer, I think we can all be economical with the truth dependant on the circumstances!

777,
Whether she is a scammer or not was not really the point I was trying to make. At that point it seemed her only fault(s) had been to send a canned letter and perhaps not be in the location where she claims to be. If sending a canned letter is wrong then 99% of us are scammers.
As a matter of point here, and I am neither defending her nor putting her down, I was on a chat room once and my ISP at the time was AOL. I was chatting with people saying I was in UK (which I was and am!) and someone ran an ISP check on me and claimed I was in US, Western Virginia if I recall correctly!
They simply wouldn't accept their ISP check was incorrect!
