Since it so happened that my nick appeared to mark a new topic I would like to use this chance and ask a question. There is a saying that distance makes the hearts grow fonder. I wonder if it's true from the point of view of a man. Mainly this question refers to meeting someone on the Internet first and later in person. Do you think that distance and time which are inevitable factors in a relationship of two people who come from different countries help to build more solid bonds and check out feelings for each other or on the contrary may nip it in the bud ?

That depends on how sincere they are and how they were raised. If from a strict family, I would say more possible but nowadays I think it makes the heart wander. Think about it for a second. The longer you are away from your goal, the more of a chance you have to be side tract. You meet new people everyday and have new adventures around every corner. With someone a millions miles away, you can inadvertantly put that situation out of mind. Then, one day, you find your looking for something else because it IS in reach. Its so easy to do this long distance as compared to having a family to come home to every day.
