What sort of behaviour is going to cause offence in russia? Any cultural differences i should know about before i go?

has anyone out there been to belarus?.........its proving quite tricky to get any info about the place. I'm thinking of flying to minsk instead of moscow, have a looksy about then get a train to russia........its easy to get the tickets etc on the internet but whats the reality? cheers liam

i guess russians are just the same people as anywhere else, so just dont do what you think might offence people around you in your own country. I was trying to think over any particular situations but none came into my head. Perhaps we'll appreciate if you don't say that Moscow is near Siberia http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif But that's again just a cultural and educational background that i'm sure is respected everywhere, you wouldn't like to communicate with dumb and ignorant fools in nz, do you.
As for specific behaviour say at table or in some places - no, i dont think there's anything special. Don't use russian swearing with girls - that's for sure http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Liam, only never present 2, 4, 6 and so one flowers to girl or anybody more.
