my self and two others are traveling to keiv in oct
and the price we were ask for 3 room apartments is 125 doller
as well as a guide who cost 30 doller s now it is not that we dont agree to pay these cost
what we can understand is if the wages are so low in keiv and the cost of liveing below avarage why is that a guide can ask for 450 dollers for two weeks and a good apartment for three costs 1,500 dolers for two weeks

Actually, Jose, 1,500 dollars for two weeks is not all that bad. For prime real estate in a big city or a choice vacation spot, you could pay a lot more. Look and see how much it is in New York or Paris...or St. Thomas or St. Maartin. You could find yourself paying 1,000 dollars a week or more.

As for the guide, there are good things and bad things about having a guide. For example, you could get a map of Kiev and go see things and visit places on your own initiative. However, a local guide can steer you away from the bad places in town...thereby keeping your wallet and possibly your life. How much is that worth?

Everything is relative...what is your choice?

Unfortunately I don't know you, but I have many friends who volunteer to find you a suitable place for perhaps 50 per night for 3 people.
If you are going to meet someone there, she may be able to help you or if you don't have anyone then after you go there and meet someone she may be able to assist you.
