I was wondering how you can arrange for a female who want to come and visit here in the USA. I think many do not understand all the things that has to be done with visa airline ticket and so on.
My problem is that with the income they have it is almost impossibel for them to buy an airline ticket.
Is it a lot cheaper to buy an airline ticket in Russia than the USA??
If so how can you purchase the airline ticket without getting burned??
The webhost say that you should NOT send any money to anyone so how can you help someone with the travel cost???
Hope someone can help me with the answers.
Thanks

Danmark,
There are many internet travel sites for purchasing tickets, as a rule of thumb tickets are more expensive in FSU because there is not the competion there is here in the west.
You will hear from certain ladies they can get the ticket cheaper, it's a scam. How do they know what price you will be paying for it, have they been looking in your shop windows in USA?
BUT:
If you haven't yet met this lady then I doubt your immigration will grant her a visa, you will not be in a position to sponser her because you haven't met. And you will need to send her approx $50 for the visa and also a minimum of $500 pocket money so when arriving in USA she can show immigration she will be able to support hereself.
The chances of that happening though are extremely remote, if this is a first meeting then you should be the one getting on a plane to her.

There is NO CHANCE a single Russian girl will be granted the USA non-immigrant visa unless she makes $500 a month. See http://www.womenrussia.com/blacklist.htm and read the scam stories where "women" ask for money for visa and tickets. It is all scam! Don't send any money to anyone you have not met in person!!! http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Some good info here. Mostly mis-information.
Here is the skinny guys from one who actually knows.
First the comment about not getting a visa is about dead on. Yes, it is theoretically possible for the US to grant a tourist visa to a young beautiful unmarried female that has few assets in a CIS country, but as a practicality it almost NEVER happens.
The position of US BCIS today is that every one of these ladies is a potential immigrant until she PROVES otherwise. That proof is often hard to come by.
About the only other way is to either get her a Fiancee (K-1) visa or go to her, marry her in her home country and get her a spouse Visa(K-3). To get the K-1 visa use Form I-129F to get the K-3 visa use Form I-130. These both generally take a MINIMUM of 6 months and stories are not uncommon of it taking upwards of 1.5 years.
NEVER beleive a woman that says she can get a visa to the USA on her own and without a visa, she is not going to legally enter the USA.
Now some do come as dependents, as students and even as workers. Some win a visa in the "Green Card" lottery. The green card is not actually green anymore.
There are exceptions to evry rule, but I got burned and then learned. I have been at this for a few years now and have amassed a lot of info. There is tons of garbage info floating around out there. Do you self a favor and fly by the rule that she will not get into the USA without either a K-1 or K-3 visa and for either of those she needs YOU. As one other fellow mentioned, you have to meet her at least once(absence some very tight exceptions) to get the K-1 visa nad you actually have to marry her to get the k-3 visa. By the way, marriage in the CIS countries is NO slam dunk.
Be happy to explain these in a lot more detail if you want. Email me at xacsive2@aol.com. Here does not seem a good forum to go into all the nitty gritty of the rules and all the exceptions. Just fly with the general rule that you do not believe her when she says send me a ticket unless you KNOW SHE HAS A VISA. http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Xacsive,
Thank you for you insight and whilst I am not American you can offer far more information about US immigration issues than I ever could.
However I do take some exception that you should send me a 'mailshot' regarding how I should not be sending my lady(s) money. I challenge you to find one post from myself whereas I have said I am sending a lady money.
Furthermore, the Americans shoot themselves in the foot! They say never send money but immediately contradict themselves by saying a man should pay for the ladies correspondence expenses. Just visit www.rwguide.com for confirmation of this!
As a result of this American attitude we have the biggest scam scenario going ..... correspondence expenses!
A few words. I'm a young single female from Russia. Something of what I've read on this site is true BUT some exceptions do happen. I work for an international firm having office worldwide (this is a good reason for issuing visas, I guess) and have been to the States already, legally and even got back to Russia. So...
