I have seen the post asking why we look for a CIS girl, now I would like to know why you (a CIS girl) is looking for us.

I hope that we get 100% true love http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I don't think we will though, but I hope you all prove me wrong!! (Please http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

It just came into my mind - in my poll there's nothing about feelings http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Most probably I should have added "true love" too, but I was hoping guys would write "I want to meet my second half, true love, and it would be fine if she's family oriented, beautiful, educated, and stuff, but it doesn't matter much if we love each other" http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif How stupid of me to omit that "love" option, right? http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

To Vicky -- Love is always at the back of one's mind in all things that they do. I know your intention is to find love, as is mine. http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hi Vicky,

I interpreted your poll question as " WHY are you looking IN the FSU for your future beloved INSTEAD of <name of a country>". I thought that it was a very astute question. Everyone should really ask themselves that before they go down this path. We all want to meet our true love, so everyone would have chosen that option and what would that have shown. Well most would, I still can't believe that 3 people actually voted for the last 2 options but then again after reading some of the postings on this board, why am I so surprised.

I did the exercise for myself and ended up writing a full page... too long to post and most readers would have found it boring http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I'll summarized here instead. The qualities that I am looking for in a woman can be found everywhere in this world; beauty (inner as well as outer), education, family values etc. The one thing that isn't found everywhere is the willingness to leave her home, family and friends for a new life in a strange country. There are exceptions but most women here in Canada are only interested in meeting someone who lives in their city (and it is pretty safe to assume that it is the same for the rest of the Western World - but you know what can happen when one assume... http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif . So if I want to succeed, I will either have to find her living in my city, move to another city or look where the women are open to relocating. The FSU is one such place http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Some people may think that this is too serious, boring, that love should be fun and carefree! Maybe. But family/ marriage isn't a game for me, divorce is not something I take lightly specially if there are children involved and I do not mean marriage as a religious symbol.

I do believe that we should share similar values (re: relationship), otherwise we may resent each other later when it is too late and you then live in regret http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif . To be IN LOVE doesn't happen very often and usually requires that a deep friendship exists already. And yes I do believe that these friendships can develop very quickly (just not very often). To find your One And Only is to be IN LOVE.

Lou

Everyone chooses on himself
Woman, religion, road
To a devil to serve or to prophet
Everyone chooses on himself.
Everyone chooses for himself
Word for love and for a pray
Sword for duel, and for fight
Everyone chooses for himself
Everyone chooses on himself
Board and armour. Staff and patch -
Measure of final payment -
Everyone chooses on himself.
Everyone chooses on himself
I choose too, as I am able
I have claim to nobody,
EVERYONE CHOOSES ON HIMSELF

Hi Katya,

Great poem! I had to read it several times, each time it had a different facet (like a diamond), a different meaning, many levels. Who wrote it? I am not familiar with Russian Literature except for what we studied in High School.
