I'll make this short and sweet. I was scammed. I was stupid and fooled and did not know any better. The loss of money I can recover from, but I have lost faith in internet communications and have ceased all of those efforts. I know about the blacklist at freerussian personals, but I really do not understand the instructions and so I gave up on that. Maybe I might be able to find someone to do that for me as I have all the letters and photos, but that would probably be asking for to much although it never hurts to ask.

The blacklist is not enough however as I would like to make her pay somehow for what she did. Are there agencies that can be contacted that could actually take some kind of legal action against her. Can the American Embassy in Russia help? I know that some of these girls end up going to jail for there evil ways and I would like to add one to that list. Any and all help would be appreciated. There must be a way to make these criminals pay for their crimes.

Stealing is one thing, but to steal and to toy with someones life is far far worse, in fact doing that is simply evil!!!!

Please help and please do not call me names as I feel bad enough as it it. Thank you.

Nameless,
Sympathies. First, you can blacklist her at blacklist@womenrussia.com , to view blacklist www.womenrussia.com/blacklist.htm

Depending how much she scammed you for, and if you have proof, guys have started reporting scammers to the Russian tax police, they don't take too kindly to individuals who evade tax on such 'earnings'.

If it was only for a small amount then write it off as a no hoper, don't lose faith though, regard it a a 'valuable lesson' and try and try again.

If the amount was significant write to Elena Petrova, elena@womenrussia.com , she's normally very helpful, ask if she knows about the tax police.

Or try the guys in the forums at www.rwguide.com but take some things they say with perhaps a pinch of salt, they have a habit of flaming some guys.

Good luck and move on.
Martin

Thanks for information.

I finally did send off a report to them. I just hope they accept the report because I certainly had enough proof. To bad the blacklist is not easy to find. I bet many guys do not even know that there is a blacklist. It should be linked to every dating service on the internet and that way guys would then be aware and could easily check it.

She was supposedly going to visit me and needed a few hundred dollars for the rest of what she owed on the trip. Her intent was to rip me off from the beginning, apparently, since she never did show up.

What I do not understand is why she decided to write me three short, but sweet, letters after she had already got my money. It seems to me once they rip you off they have no further need to correspond.

My brother told me that maybe she was going to give me some kind of fake excuse that was out of her control about why she didn't show up. My brother said that maybe she was going to write me back and say that her tour was cancelled for some reason and that it is not her fault and that there was nothing she could do about it. Then he told me she would probably string me along and try to scam me again.

I cannot think of any other reason why she would have written me after she already had my money and for some reason it really bugs me as to why she did that. Do you have any ideas as to why she did?

Nameless,
Yes, guys too often rush into a situation, if only they learnt of the value an internet search engine can provide just by entering a lady's name and city!
Can't say why she continued to write to you, perhaps she's a considerate scammer or perhaps she was going to hit you for more money for the sick mother or aunty or something.
Always try to ask a couple of questions in each of the early letters to ensure she is actually reading and replying to your letters and not just sending you the latest 'mailshot' she sends to all the other guys also.

Yeah, I figured that some of those girls with little effort can make big bucks and that they would never ever have to work a day in there life. I guess having that much money they can go crazy partying and shopping, but in the end they all will want to marry someone and end up having kids, but by time they do they will probably have a bad reputation and get stuck with a bum. I heard that many Russian guys treat them like dirt. I take a little solace in knowing that sooner or later that they will have to pay for there ways. I know plenty of American women party hard also and they all end up wanting to get married and end up having kids and these women always end up having big time problems in the future when it comes to relationships. These girls better enjoy it while it last because it will not last forever.

A considerate scammer huh. How odd can they be! She fooled me pretty good because her letters were not mailshots at all. Before this all happened there were about 30 girls that were sending me mailshots. I wrote to them only because I had nothing better to do. Finally I got bored and I wrote one e-mail and sent it out to every girl that was doing that at the same time just so they could see that they were not the only person I was writing to. This letter basically said that I new they where full of shit and I told them to f*** off...it gave me a little satisfaction when I did that and I just loved there responses.

I told a few ladies that I'd be willing to move to Russia and that the rental of my home alone would make $1,200.00 USD a month...hell that's more than twice that of $500.00 USD...imagine what could be done with that kind of money there...so why in the heck didn't they go for that idea?!?!?

These Russian girls are starting to get on my nerves and honestly they aren't all pretty...I have seen plenty more ugly and average looking ones than I saw good looking ones. Maybe it is there professionally done photos that seem to make it appear as if so many are beautiful. Sure the pretty ones are awesome, but I think it is there facial features, as they are different, that sets them apart and make them look a bit more attractive compaired to pretty girls where I live.

I am down to two Russian girls now because the rest were garbage...it was easy to see they were full of it and were probably going to try and scam me. I happen to like Chinese girls also and I feel that the Chinese women have much better morals than the Russians...I started to search for a Russian woman because I thought they had better values than American women, but with all the scammers and prostitutes over there I am starting to realize that most are not any good...not all...just most. I still look for a Russian girl, but the chances are very good that I will find a nice Chinese girl instead and the risk from them is much less than the risks you have when looking in Russia. The Chinese have long standing family and moral values that is ingrained in them from the time they are little kids and the Russians don't. The Chinese are more interested in work and having children and the Russians just wanna party.

Never give them money...I almost did, but didn't, but then I am kind of cheap...well just a little cheap anyways. Sorry dude.

Dan,
I know we've covered this subject before but if, let us say, only 5% of available ladies go on the internet, then imagine what is waiting for you when you get there!
Have a read of Liam down in Free Talk, he's in Russia at the moment and like a kid in a candy store!

if you where scam jut move on nothing you can do about, just
live and learn, I know someone that lost more than 20K and thats real money...next time try to find a decent girl or try a
good american married agency. Its worth to spend the money in finding a good woman. I have meet girls that you can smell the scam a mile away, in the second letter that are asking for money, if this is the case jut forget her and write to another one. The scam works both way, I know a lot of girls that also
have been scam by men. I know of some that have been left at hotels all over Europe without a penny....not funny...
