RUSSIAN PERSONALS IN CALIFORNIA, WHERE THEY DO NOT SHOW AN ADDRESS OR A TELEPHONE NUMBER . AGENCIES SUCH AS THIS ARE TROUBLE....STAY AWAY...SERIOUS AGENCIES DO NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM IN SHWING THEIR OFFICES ADDRESS AS WELL AS THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER, APARENTLY THIS PEOPLE DO NOT ANY.

I've seen it before, a 'supposed' agency that expects guys to send them lots of dollars and their only contact information might be an email address.
Common sense SHOULD prevail, if I'm going to pay someone some money I'd need more information than an email address!

you don't know what you are talking about.
Yes, agencies must be checked out very carefully before you start a relationship with them. I suggest you go from people you know to people you don't and allways go with the best personal referal unless you think you can do better.

Now, a word about names and addresses. Many of the best agencies are word of mouth only, many don't have even a web site. In Russia, it is extremely dangerous to run a small business, even with a staff of two people, you need a full time person just to handle the paperwork required by dozens of authorities and, then they have to pay off bribes almost continously.

That is, a perfectly good agency may appear to be stateside but actually does most of it work in another country or appear to be in Russia but actually be in a western country run by relatives and close trusted associates.

The reality is it is very difficult to trust anyone who is not a close relative in Russia.

Add to that, the visa and registration problems it means anyone in the agency business who is not Russian faces a continous nightmare in operating a business.

Its not as easy as some people think, its actually very hard for small agencies to keep their heads above water financially or even get a decent internet connection in many places.

Try paying USD $250 a month just for a 64K "high speed" connection and 10 cents a meg for data. In many places the data slows down to about 100 baud! Other times as soon as you get on the connection kicks you off to because you have suddenly gone from #1 line to the longest caller on 5 lines so off you go and try all 5 numbers untill you get a connection.

Businesses in Russia simply expend a huge amount of energy and time doing very simple things here.

Now, US based agencies can either be very good or very bad or anything inbetween.

One thing to watch is for mandatory signing up to view profiles or paying very large fees up front.

AGencies should be just a tool to meet your future wife not a "bride shop" catalog. You can spot very good agencies or web sites very easily if you know how.

If you like porn magazines then you are probably going to end up with scammers and scamming agencies. Almost every guy who has complained to me about scammers was a "stick" man looking for excitement before he wrote , that is idiots who dont use their brains to meet a lady but purely use the entertainment reasioning..

Think of the poor ladies, about 90% of the writers never visit Russia. about 75% of men visiting are on sex tours visiting "many" , most guys cannot even write a decent letter so lots of guys miss out on really nice ladies because they don't even try to write a decent letter.
