From Russia with Love

I don't suppose this information will be of use to too many people out there but just in case...........theres a documentary on tv on channel 3 on thursday 8.30pm entitled "from russia with love" which follows the trips of 2 men going to russia to meet there 'dream-girl' and follows the arrival of a russian girl from st petersburg to new zealand and how she settles in with her new 'boyfriend' (as a side point its really easy for russian girls to come to nz, you don't need to be already married/engaged, the man has to 'sponser' you though but all this means is that he has to have 7000nz dollars/approx 3500USD in a bank account and the girl can visit for 3 months while you make up your mind). Anyway, if anyone REALLY wants to see the doco but doesn't live in my lovely paradise island let me know as i could tape it and send it to you.

I watched the documentary this morning, it was real interesting but at the same time it was really quite sobering and a little sad, its certainly opened my eyes to some of the reality's facing some people in russia. All in all it was a bit depressing actually.

yeah it was'nt as bad as suicide but i definately dispared at the situations of some of the russian girls and a couple of the kiwi guys on the doc were just complete and utter fuckwits, kinda like the people who katya often descibes in the letters she's recieved. I just felt sorry for one of the girls who had obviously put a lot of faith in one man who went to vladivostock to meet her. She was a single mother and the guy just fully used her (in the past i've disbelieved the girls on this forum when they say that men often write heaps of letters to girls simply in the hope that they'll be able to go on holiday to russia to get laid--now i know its true). Its a real ugly think to offer hope and true affection when your motivation is only to get laid.
anyway i've decided if i win the ten million dollar jackpot on the lottery tonight, i'm gonna go to vladivostock, find the girl apologise on behalf of all the sad fuckers out there, and give her heaps of money. Plus, if i ever see the guy who went there i'm definately gonna smack his head in http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif , like you tom, i have no worries standing 2 meters in front of someone and telling iy how it is.

sorry about the abject anger in this post, but the documentary really dissolussioned me over many aspects of finding my dream girl in russia.
