Vicky,

Its not experience, but lack of time and energy to answer such a question. It is similar to asking what is the meaning of life?

Here is a link for those who want more answers to the mysteries of marrying a woman from the FSU.

Marrying A Woman From the FSU!!! (http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/russian-women-l.html)

This is one of the best list on the internet for men and women to learn about the legal aspects involved. There are over 2100 members and many are already married to an FSU woman. Many women also use this list to exchange ideas and general topics with members.

Anyone can join and it is free. I often get very valuable information from the list members. Such as finding cheap (inexpensive) apartments in Moscow or Kiev. How to arrange transportation from SV-2, etc.

Hope this helps,

Jon

Isn't it odd that the level of moral decay has reached the point which it is not normal to be faithful. Katya, I think that there are many men out there that look apon sex as something special.

Doesn't that still keep the world alive that we're hoping for the best, even if reasonable ones prove there's no hope? http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

This is a serious matter, isn't it? I understand that it can take up to two years to bring your love to America, and they make you jump through a LOT of hoops and demand all kinds of data on your personal life and finances. Indeed, I've actually considered moving to Eastern Europe permanently, but some ladies I've spoken with say this is a bad idea, and that foreigners can be in some danger if they live there. Anyone have thoughts on this? Lance

Taking into account that Alaska is a former part of Russia, the advice is right to the point http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Serge,

I guess those Russian in Alaska are not very friendly because it's cold out there. How can be friendly if all you see around is snow and FISH http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hmmm....snow and fish. What a romantic combination. can't be any worse than Frisco, though. Here if a woman approaches a guy, they'd both better check their true gender.

Hey Riffstar...you poor guy...lol. I have been to the Bay many times and find it hard to find much that is "norman" as well. Well I wouldn't knock the ice fishing thing. You see in Alaska we ice fish in little cabins that we drag on the ice. When we catch a fish we let him swim around on a pail of vodka untill he stops moving and just sits on the bottom with a silly fish grin or he gets up and sings show tunes. At that point we just throw a match at him.

The crackling sound of the fish cooking combined with the beautiful flame make the cabin very cozy. It is our custom to make love and then eat the fish. Sweet don't you think?
Ps we never fish with any man from the "Bay".

One thing to know about the Bay is never bend over and pick up loose change...could be a pole new experience!!!

A "pole" new experience? What a bad pun, especially around here. You'd better go sing show tunes with Serge's drunken fish. Seriously, my original question: I've heard that foreigners who go to live with their prospective wives in the former CIS can be in some danger. Anyone hear the same?

g'day,

yeah man, i'm not sure about it being real dangerous in the east, i've hitch-hiked throughout eastern europe, poland, czech, romania, bulgaria a few times, i had a couple of nasty experiences, got mugged in gdansk, tried to fight back but ended up in hospital ( i was 17 at the time and a little out of my league), and i got attacked by a drunk in bulgaria (won that one though http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ). A good friend of mine just got back from spending 4 months living with his hungarian girlfriend in budapest and had no worries. To be honest I've travelled alot around the world and found myself in numerous scary places, but nothing compares to the casual street violence that we grew up with in northern england (saying that though small towns in queensland are pretty nutty). At the end of the day the only hassle i reckon you'd get is if people decide your wealthy and try and rob you, get a cheap wallet with 10 bucks in your backpocket and if some one wants it just give it to them. don't be a hero and you'll be fine. cheers liam

Hi!
What kind of problem you means ? of course , it will be problems with language.
You will not have any problem with mafia , as they tell.( they have more serious clients , then you ). We will not have any problems with food - you can buy all , that you want .
Nothing afraid will not making with you here. But it will be hard. So, if you will come to girl , that you know , it will not any problem .
