Did anyone have contact with this person who listed the full name in her ad and on a current ad on another site?
This 'woman' originally had an add on freepersonals and this is where I initially contacted her(a google search on her name may show a cached ad on the free personals site). She sent me 6 form letters and then contacted me with a text messager pressing me to come visit her. There were several red flags and I will note them here.
1. She writes letters using: The Bat! (v3.62.14) Professional
2. Her email headers were bogus. From my tracing program:THIS EMAIL SHOWS THAT IT HAS BEEN PASSED TO THE EMAIL SERVER IDENTIFIED ON THE INTERNET BY [88.147.144.17]. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE CASE. THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY AN EXAMPLE OF SPAMMERS OR HACKERS ATTEMPTING TO MISDIRECT YOU AS TO THEIR TRUE LOCATION
3. She writes saying she is a University teacher but our first text conversations she states she is not.
4. She writes telling me I am the only one she contacts while she spams countless people with her form letters.
5. She does not have a phone she can be reached at.
6. In one of her letters she states that "In fact I know English very bad and write letters to you very long. Much time to translate your letter and much time to answer." Yet in her real time text messaging sessions with me she is very proficient with the English language.
7. She culls addresses from free sites and then deletes the ad before she can be reported and moves on to another free site.
8. She hints she needs money.
9. Other lies and inconsistencies.

1. She writes letters using: The Bat! (v3.62.14) Professional
The Bat! is a very good e-mail client, I am using it too. Am I scammer too? By the way, some scammers from Yoshkar-ola are using google mail, are all gmail users scammers?
Forward header of her letter.
3. She writes saying she is a University teacher but our first text conversations she states she is not.
It can't be scam proof.
4. She writes telling me I am the only one she contacts while she spams countless people with her form letters.
Can you prove it?
5. She does not have a phone she can be reached at.
May be she doesn't know English, and can't communicate by phone.
6. In one of her letters she states that "In fact I know English very bad and write letters to you very long. Much time to translate your letter and much time to answer." Yet in her real time text messaging sessions with me she is very proficient with the English language.
It means that she is using transltion service.
Do you have any real proofs?
The Bat! is a very good e-mail client, I am using it too. Am I scammer too? By the way, some scammers from Yoshkar-ola are using google mail, are all gmail users scammers?
The Bat is indeed a good program, but I think that's exactly Revan's point: it's too good for an average user, and you even have to pay for the professional version (unlike Google or Hotmail).
But maybe she got it through work, or got an (illegal) copy from a friend or brother.
It can't be scam proof.
It's a proof she just contradicts herself (= lying)?
Can you prove it?
Of course she'll write with other men, like Revan is writing with other women. Revan, never trust the "you're the only one story". If you're correct, another proof she's again lying.
May be she doesn't know English, and can't communicate by phone.
Indeed, but before you meet somebody after a serious correspondance, I think it's important to talk on the phone. Even when it's with the help of a translator. If she doesn't have a phone, her parents/brother/sister/friends/neighbours will, and you can make an appointment to call her there.
Not being able to phone her is suspicious, maybe not really a red flag.
It means that she is using transltion service.
You'd recognize such automatically translated English. Revan can say if her English is much different in chat and in the letters.
Do you have any real proofs?
Maybe not a scammer, but proof enough to treat her like a very hot potato :) Sorry to add my 2 cents...

First off: Thanks to the Admin and Arie for giving me input. As a side note, the last name I put in my previous post was posted freely by her in her ad here and in her ad on another free site so I did not feel like I was posting confidential or inappropriate information. In any case I will not do it again.
Second off: I was not saying she was a scammer and no ONE thing I posted proves anything. The prepoderence of all the issues however gave me serious pause and I posted here to alert anybody that had written her and perhaps to share information on this person. She, or He, may be an overt scammer, a pro dater, or simply a woman who has let a friend mass market her.
Arie: I have been dating long enough to realize that when a woman says I am the only one that it may not be true. The lie bothered me more than the fact that she is writing other people(with the exact same canned letters). The fact that she says I am the only man she needs so early is a red flag in and of itself.
The admin requested I post some headers. I have done so below but I have done a "Replace All" on lastnames and email addresses only as I figured the admin would want me to do so.
My trace program tells me that the address is from around Moscow and not Saratov and:
THIS EMAIL SHOWS THAT IT HAS BEEN PASSED TO THE EMAIL SERVER IDENTIFIED ON THE INTERNET BY [88.147.144.17]. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE CASE. THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY AN EXAMPLE OF SPAMMERS OR HACKERS ATTEMPTING TO MISDIRECT YOU AS TO THEIR TRUE LOCATION
Having your first letter be a form letter is not unusual I suppose, but wait, the second one is an almost word for word form letter as well. I am betting all the others are as will be as well. Someone is evidently using The Bat to mass mail every email that writes her.

Hello, dear Richard!
Thank you very much for your letter.
Now I am going to tell you about myself.
I have never believed seriously in relationships through internet till
one of my
friend married an American. Now they are happy and live together with
their children near Chicago. That is why I also made up my mind to
find a man of my dreams on the Internet.
I hope that in the future I'll find my soul mate and we shall be able
to know each other better May be you are that man I am looking for.
I believe in love at the first sight. I want to meet a man who will
become a faithful friend for me and I - a loving wife. I think that
it is necessary for the family. I'd like to be happy as a woman: to
have a loving and beloved husband, a cozy and comfortable house where
our children will be happy.
I also have a lot of love and warmth to give to someone special and I
am waiting for the time when I have the opportunity to do it.
I take care about my health: I am fond of sports and traveling,
strolling in natural landscapes. In the evenings I like to read books,
to watch TV, to meet my friends and to walk in the park before going
to bed.
I live in a small, comfortable apartment in the center of the city.
At weekends I often go to my friend's summer cottage, I like to work
in the garden, take care of the flowers. Sometimes we go rowing, make
stops at a bay, swim, fry meat.
I am a romantic lady and I have many ideas to share with my future
soul mate: walking through woodland and countryside in a summer
afternoon, a romantic picnic together, sitting on a beach looking at
the sea, watching to the horizon line, close to each other and
whispering to my beloved man how much I love him! This is my dream…
I'd also like to spend evenings together warming in each other's
arms...thinking about our lives and our future. But I want you to know
that I am a common woman, in some situations I am shy, sometimes too
direct. I am too sentimental and romantic. I take everything too
close to my heart.
Tell me something about you: things that you like and dislike. What
are your passions and joys?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely yours
Oksana

Hello, dear Dick!!!
How are you?
I was very glad to hear from you. You sound very good. I like the things
which you've written you your letter. I am glad
that you try to find your second part and that you chose me.
As for me I live my life by the belief that you must always maintain your values and
honor and do not say anything unless you mean it. That is why I have
started to look for the partner outside. The men which are living here in
the entire do not have there own values, integrity and honor.
What I am looking for is a man who will become my best friend as well as my
husband and father for my son in
the near future so we can start a new life and family together. So that we
can enjoy every minute of our lives when
together. A man whom I will wish deeply to be with when we are apart.
I know that my son must have father to bring him up as a real man. I
am too kind with him but his is the only dear person to me now.
This may sound strange saying this here in one of the first letters but I like to
have my feelings known from the start so there is no misunderstandings later. I
do not believe in playing games with peoples hearts and do not like to
waste time by waiting for long periods. So now you know what I want in
the future.
Dick I also want to give you some information you would like to
know about me, but I want you know that am not a
good writer about my self. I was born 19/12/74. I was married but now
I am divorced. I have a son. His name is Ilya. He is 10 now. You can
see him on the photo. In fact I know English very bad and write letters to you very
long. Much time to translate your letter and much time to answer.
I live in Saratov which is on the Volga river. I work as a teacher in the university.
After divorcing I have not met seriously with somebody. And
now I feel such emptiness in my soul. One must feel support of his second part.
As for my ex husband I think that we did not understand each other and
he likes to drink. I did not our son look at it.
Dear Dick, I look forward to read your letters. Unfortunately I do not have
the opportunity to do it very often because I do not have Internet
connection at home. And I have to go to Internet cafe or to my friend
to see your letters.
if you have any question please ask me and I will be glad to answer
it. Also if you have something to tell me about your self please do it.
Hope to hear from you soon.
hugs and kisses
Oksana

Although I cannot prove it I feel Revan is right. The letters are too long and descriptive and similar to ones I received from scammers. Of course, you don't know really until the money requests come for visa, ticket, thick and thin etc. My suggestion is, if she asks for money, to say that you plan to visit her next month and you cant send money because you need it to travel etc. Ask for passport details, address and telephone to submit to consulate in order to obtain invitation letter for visa. Most scammers run miles at the sound of this.
Revan, it can indeed be a deception, if you become fond of somebody, and she appears to be dishonest. Like Livewithoutlimits mentioned, her letters are indeed a bit too cliche (bad local men, she's so romantic and looking for real love) and rather "in your face", sharing too much personal details right from the start.
By the way, it seems she's writing the English herself, and phonetic typo like "tolled" wouldn't be made by an automatic translation.
In any case, if she contradicts herself (about her job), she's not honest. And it's better to know now, than after marriage :)

I don't see problems with hearders of her letters. Her IP is 88.147.144.17.
According to my program, EmailTrackerPro 2006, which uses databases this is a misdirection. This was confirmed using other tools. There is nothing at 88.147.144.17. No mail server, no response. Do a route check.
I am familiar with such things but not an expert. Draw your own conclusions.
It is possible she is actually in Saratov but using tools to misdirect the email. Maybe her work has it setup that way. Nothing is 100 percent except the fact that there are lots of lies, some of which I have not documented here. Lies do not make a scammer necessarily they just make a liar although there is evidence something is going on.
As I mentioned before, I posted this as a warning and to try and see if other people had experiences with this person.

The Bat is indeed a good program, but I think that's exactly Revan's point: it's too good for an average user, and you even have to pay for the professional version (unlike Google or Hotmail).
But maybe she got it through work, or got an (illegal) copy from a friend or brother.
In Russia almost all home users use illegal copies of software. Also many of them use dial-up connection and pay for online time. That's why free webmail of google and hotmail more expensive than "paid" The Bat.

Yes, there is no mailserver on her ip. It's absolutely normal.

She is in Saratov and she doesn't use any tools to misdirect the email.

While editing a message in gmail or hotmail, you can disable the connection. So online time is only slightly more. Isn't a program like Thunderbird populair in Russia (it's free and a good product)?
P.S. I've also bought some nice software during my stay in Russia :) The only risk is being caught in our own airport after returning.

Revan, if you check the header of her e-mail, you'll see
Received: from [88.147.144.17] (port=11377 helo=[192.168.1.99]) by mx2.mail.ru
that 88.147.144.17 is her home IP-address (like Admin mentioned). And the HELO is the hostname of her computer connecting to the mailserver.
Which is probably just a normal PC, not a server, so you can't ping it. The mail-server is mx2.mail.ru, which is up and running.

I am willing to acknowledge that an automated tool can be wrong. Thanks for your comments and explanations. Ironically my first perusal of the headers yielded similiar results to your own and then I used the tool which told me differently.
In Russia almost all home users use illegal copies of software. Also many of them use dial-up connection and pay for online time. That's why free webmail of google and hotmail more expensive than "paid" The Bat.
On The Bat I see your point that legit people can use it as well as scammers. The Bat can be used for Mass Mailings of form letters with the Tags changed correct? Based on the exact form letters sent months apart this appears to be what The Bat is being used for here. Is this the common way for legit users to contact people?

Dear Revan
I don't think the email header by itself can tell if someone is a scammer or not. You need better evidence and Admin is right. There isn't any at the moment. The letters you quoted would make me suspicious unless I knew this woman quite well and we were already very intimate. Of course it could all be true and we are all suspicious for nothing. I would suggest, if you are really interested in this woman, that you try to find out more about her by other means and let the story unfold to see if she comes with Western Union demands. For example check her address details. Send her a small present, a book, some CDs. Scammers always try to conceal their true identity and in most cases will make mistakes or contradict themselves. Another thing you could do, for example, is ask, to call her in her work place. You can then check if the phone number is from the University etc.
By the way Saratov has many Universities and some high-tech ones. It is not uncommon for someone to have a job there. What is her profession?
I was in correspondance with a girl from Saratov 3 years ago. She said she was a doctor but in the end I discovered she was impersonating another girl who was a real doctor using her photos from another dating website. I even spoke to her on the phone. I managed to unmask her by a simple trick. I offered to send her a present and requested her postal address. She gave me that. I then got the address of the real doctor from the other dating website (with the same photos). The addresses were different, of course. With her real address I then found her real identity. She was a well known scammer with a record on various blacklists. Of course, if its her, she won't make the same mistake twice, ;) :p

I work as a teacher in the university.
...........................
Unfortunately I do not have
the opportunity to do it very often because I do not have Internet
connection at home. And I have to go to Internet cafe or to my friend
to see your letters.
Forget the BAT. This woman is lying. Universities in Russia have internet. If she works there she should have it her office, or the lab. Unless she works there as a cleaner, of course.

At the very least the woman has lied to me on several occassions. I have compared notes with another guy that was writing her on another forum. Whether she is a scammer or not at this point is debatable. The lies are not. It does not matter what she is or is not. I have moved on.
