Does anyone care about the star sign of a would-be wife/husband? There are lots of advice on what signs should live together perfectly or what signs should stay as far as possible from each other. Makes any sense to you?

g'day vicky, then i would have to say that horoscopes and star signs are extremely valuble tools in which to gauge and compare a future 'love' interest, tried and tested over a thousand years star signs are an imporatant, honest and relaible way of deciding your place in the world and of those around you. http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Serge,
liam was trying to tease me i guess http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I know guys rarely believe in this stuff, though it depends on how to present it http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Anyway, i sometimes read those horoscopes, for fun only, because those published in papers are way too general. And i too heard that an ideal couple is made out of people belonging to opposite star signs, because they are totally different in approach which doesn't mean they are different in attitude to life. I met couple of pairs of that kind, they may quarrel, they may have totally different views on some things, but "opposites attract" http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I really think there is something to Astrology. There are too many factors that match each sign to be coincidence.
The only way to do it right is to have a good astrologist draw up your chart, something I can never do because I don't know the time of day I was born.
It's not a bad way to gauge a potential mate but it's only a part of the equation. I think what part of the world you were born in, your blood type, if you were spanked a lot as a child and many other things all factor into your personality.
I'm a Scorpio for instance, we have a bad rap but I'm a really mellow dude, most of the time.
Then you have the Chinese horoscope which goes by the year you were born, Lamb and Monkey and all that.
I'm not even sure what I am, Monday's I feel like a lamb, Friday's I feel like a Tiger. http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Craig.

Craig,
you might probably know that each day of the week sort of "belongs" to this or that planet, which can be seen in their names. Friday is the day of Venus, no wonder you feel you're a tiger http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
About signs and horoscopes
Vicky
12-04-2002, 02:19 AM
Let me tell you an amusing story about horoscopes http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Some time ago I was pretty interested in this, even learned to make horoscopes myself with the help of those thick books which give the minute/second position of each planet at the moment of birth. Once I had to go to another city and there was an option to go there by train or by plane. At that very moment I was trying to get deeper into that horoscope thing and was looking at what stars said about my possible end. There I learned that when this planet comes into that aspect with another planet there might be an accident, dangerous for my health, and it must have been connected to some "earth signs" (wont go into details here http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ) Anyway, I looked thru one thick book and to my surprise I found that the aspect was in a close future, namely at the period I was going to travel. Since I considered train to be more earth-like thing I went by plane. You might guess the end of the story. There was a train crash. This very train I was going to go by. That made me believe there is something in horoscopes. The stars don't predict though, they just warn. Whatever way we go is our choice.
And you know those Chinese horoscopes
Vicky

I read a funny story in a newspaper recently. There was a lady writing to editor talking about Chinese horoscopes. She said - I'm a Horse, and according to horoscopes, Horses will succeed but they will have to work hard. My friend is a Goat (btw, the coming year is a year of goat http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ), and in the horoscope it is said that they don't have to work because they will get everything just like that. Why so?
The editor's answer was - horoscopes are written by smart psychologists. Don't take them too much to heart. If you believe all that and you're a Horse, work and succeed. But don't tell your friend Goat she will have to work hard, she simply won't believe you http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Tom,
do find a link http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
What if there are matches to you. BTW, we all want to be special, aren't we http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Here are a couple of free ones. (These are very popular, and most of them require a Credit Card!)
Try this one first:
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm
Then try this one:
http://www.personalitytype.com/quiz.html
These are very popular in the USA. And many companies have anyone who applies for a job take a version of this test.
It's called the: Jung-Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
Here is a test in Russian. It is free to take the test, but I think they ask you to pay for the results! http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
You can take it and find out.

mines entp http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif , though for several jobs i have had, a requirement has been to be psycologically tested. Its always a bit intimidating though, the fear of the unknown or unacknowledged 'self' i guess.

Serge,
Of course, you are right.
It is one thing to walk up to a girl in a bar and say "What's yout sign?" But can you imagine asking "What's your Jung-Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?" http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
And of course, I don't take this stuff too seriously, myself. I see it as more 'informative' than 'definative'.
But my question is: Why does a 'realist' like you believe in astrology http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif (Just a pisces not meshing! http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif )

Come on, Tom,
every woman is an enigma to a man, since you don't know what she really wants. Doubt it's specific just for Russians.
I don't remember a Churchill quote, but when you wrote about quotes about Russia, I remembered another one, of Bismark, German chancellor. It may not sound funny but all Russians laugh heartily when hear it... we adore laughing at ourselves http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I don't remember the quote precisely but it was something like - "don't you ever go against Russia, you won't win. To your every smartest trick Russia will respond with supernatural stupidity".

" a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an engima" is how churchill described russia (soviet union). (funnily enough there are photos at my parents house of my dad as a little boy riding around on the back of churchills black labrador!!!), cheers liam

Tom,
personally I wish women were less enigmatic and men knew what they want. What a torture it is to give numerous hints. And you might know women are rarely straight-forward in expressing their wishes and desires... unless it's an emerald ring of course (liam, hint hint http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif )

About a year ago, I saw a UFO. What I mean by UFO is it's literal meaning "Unidentified Flying Object". I am not saying that I believe it was 'Aliens'. I was driving down the Hi-Way in a very rural area with my mother. This thing was bright in the sky, like a flair. But it followed us for about 1/2 hour. And it did not strike me as an airplane or helecopter. Too slow for a plane and too silent for a copter. Then it jus 'disappeared'.
Anyway, I was just talking about it with my sister last weekend. And she was asking me "Weren't you scared? Didn't you think that it my be aliens or something?" And the truth was, I was not scared at all, and I simply didn't believe it was Aliens. I just didn't know what the #### it was!

I was staying there for a week, with some disabled children, giving them a holiday. One day i walked into my bedroom and a cup next to my bed flew across the room!!!!!!, my mind tried really hard to rationalise it but i could'nt, but it didnt really bother me, i rang up a mate and kinda forgot all about it. The next day i went to my room to get some cigarettes,as i walked in i heard a voice, it was a shout but it kinda sounded from far away. It said "terror, worse terror", that was it. I still was'nt real sacred but i was starting to get a little concerned so that night i slept on the lounge floor, the next night i was a little drunk and got a bit brave about it, my friend who'd studied at a seminary had told me that if you tell a ghost to 'leave' it has to. So being a little pissed i thought i'd give it a go, i stormed into the room were it all happened and said "fuck you skanky ghost, leave right now.............." i was pretty agro about it. Anyway, the second i'd finished my speech, simultaniously all the doors in the house, all the cup-boards in the kitchen, all the drawers in the bedroom etc opened, at the same time i got the ugliest, scary feeling all around me, and to be honest in a split second i went from being real staunch to being very very scared. Thats totally true. liam ( i get the spooks just thinking about it)
Liam,
"simultaniously all the doors in the house, all the cup-boards in the kitchen, all the drawers in the bedroom etc opened, at the same time i got the ugliest, scary feeling all around me,"
I had this problem once in the 70's, but it was just a bad acid trip with some pcp mixed in for good behavior...
Oh..did I forget that was after I smoked a bunch of hash...
Jon -- flashbacks can be killers...or is it killers can be flashbacks?
g'day jon, yeah i've tried a little of everything over the years, but never really got a fright from it though, mind you too many mushrooms can give you the spooks. http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif liam

Hi Tom. I wasn't trying to be critical....It's just the way it struck my strange sence of humor I guess...lol
You know, humans are so complex. I don't think there is a way to really put anyone in a box. I think knowing about zodiacs are a very fast and not entirely reliable way to guage someones personality and I really don't get much more involved that that. I know of a few strange people really get carried away with it though. They tend to be reclusive women that own cats andlive by themselves but occasionally they own dogs too http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif[/quote]
I understood you were being humorous, not critical http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
And I am not picking on you for believing in Astrology http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
We are all entitled to our little foibles.

Merci!
</span>Big Foot..lol. you must live in the NW.
I remember driving one night in Northern Idaho. I was almost to the Montana border. It was in the winter and the driving was tretcherouse(sp?) so the going was really slow. I was in the mountains and there was a cliff to my right and a mountain of snow to my left.
Did you know that he is one the endangered spiecies list...no joke.<span =''>
I'm not from the NW, but I did live in Wyoming for a short while. When I was in Wyoming, I was working for the Park Service in Grand Teton NP (right next to Yellowstone NP, for those who don't know) and I never saw a Bigfoot http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif But you know what I did see? A wolf and her wolf cubs, not more than 50 yards away. That my not sound like much, but the truth is that a sighting like that in the US (not counting Alaska, of course!) is actually more rare than even Bigfoot! When I talk about it with wildlife biologists, their mouths drop. It is that rare.
Anyway, About mountain driving in the snow...I am originally from South Florida (yuck!) and never got a lot of experience at that. And I was driving in Yellowstone, when it started snowing. I guess I was going a little too fast (I LOVE fast mountain driving!) and there was a layer of 'Black Ice' on the road. I came to a bend and I almost went off the side of a cliff!!! There was no guard rail. I was originally on the inside track. I slid and came within about two feet from the edge! Luckily, I did everything right. Let of the gas, didn't touch the brakes, etc. Otherwise I would be 'Stuff on a Rock" right now!
G'day tom, whats wrong with florida??, when i was 21 some friends and i flew to miami, hired a car and took 5 weeks slow driving to new orleans, it was definately an excellent time !!!!!!!!!!!!, liam

Heya Tom...Thanks for the Article but I think this deserves a littlte more attention http://datingtalk.info/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
g'day,
as for turkey, yeah i'd go again (can't go for another 3 years though!!!), a year in turkey was probably one of my life-highlights, being young, free and single it was full on "wine women and song", nearly all the people i met were cool. If i was a women i'd definately be intimidated though, and even though i did'nrt agree with many of the arabic cultural ways i did'nt see it as my place to trash someone elses cultural beliefs when i was there guest. As for turkish jail, i'd previously visited jails in istanbul a couple of times taking cigarettes, porn mags etc on behalf of amnesty international for uk prisoners and they were full on grim ('midnight express' was the tip of the ice-berg). I had it lucky though and only spent 3 days in a holding cell at the airport where i just drank heaps of tea and swapped skanky stories with the guards.
(last year i was on a cruise ship sailing the med and we called into antalya, i had to stay on the boat although the master-at-arms said he could easily get me ashore, i just stayed were i was, got drunk and lost a heap of money in the casino)
As for who i am, i'm just a mild-mannered english boy who upon occaison (or after 1.5 cans of beer) spins round very very fast and turns into a bizzare hybrid of liam gallagher, Jay (silent-bobs friend), and dirk diggler (boogie nights)!!!!!!!
cheers liam
ps tom your right, new orleans is way out cool.
g'day tom,
When i was young, my dads company had a holiday house in kissimee(?), near fort lauderdale (had one of my first 'romantic fumblings' there actually), so i've been there a few times, i remember 'wet and wild' was heaven to a 14 year old boy, and i met the actor "murdoch" from the 'A-Team' (we are definately not worthy!!!!) there too. I always wanted to go to one of the infamous spring break parties on the coast there, ever been to one??
cheers, liam ( i love it when a plan comes together)
